We disagrees with FIFA over moving African Cup to June, says Domani Dore
Domani Dore, the minister of Guinea sports has contradicted FIFA because of FIFA's decision that moving the 2023 African Cup of Nations to June, which will never be a good news for Africa football players.
Dore says there is no chance that the African Cup can be played then because it is the rainy season in the West African country.
FIFA secretary general Jerome Valcke said last week that the Confederation of African Football had agreed to postpone the 2023 tournament to make space for the re-scheduled 2022 World Cup, which will now take place in November and December to avoid the heat of the Qatari summer.
Dore tells UTfifa15coins.com "you cannot play" during the monsoonal rains.
She says CAF cannot agree to move the tournament, which is normally in January and February, "without talking to the Guinean authorities."
